Meet the directors


Trisha Baughman

MRS. BAUGHMAN is starting her fourth year at Fossil Ridge High  School. She currently teaches Theatre I, Production III-IV, and  Musical Theatre I & II. Mrs. Baughman graduated from New York University TISCH School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts  in Theatre. She also studied musical theatre in London. Mrs. Baughman toured nationally with Sesame Street Live, performed in children's theatre throughout the New York City area, ran a theatre & dance school in Austin, TX for 6 years, taught theatre & dance in the Washington DC area, and was an elementary theatre teacher at Caprock Elementary School for 2 years. She loves teaching and knows that it truly is “better at the Ridge!”



Josh Helms

 MR. HELMS is proud to be here for his seventh year at Fossil Ridge. He is a graduate of Howard Payne University and incredibly excited to get to work with such amazing students and directors. 



Melissa Freeman

Melissa Freeman (aka Mama Free Free) is excited to join the super-talented FRHS Theatre team! She is new to the Ridge but not new to KISD. Ms. Freeman has been teaching since 1997 and has spent the last six years teaching theatre at Keller HS. She has been directing plays since 2004 and has qualified for State UIL OAP four times, once as an actor and three times as a director. Ms. Freeman initiated the annual class play festival and helped propose and develop several innovative theatre courses in KISD including Directing, Movement, Improv and Playwriting. Ms. Freeman enjoys working on the KISD theatre team to develop new and exciting projects such as the Kelleys, the District-Wide Musical, and the District-Wide Class Play Festival. Ms. Freeman is a graduate of Texas A&M. She has two grown children, Summer and Hank.



Mrs. Lentz


MRS. LENTZ is a freshman this year at Fossil Ridge Theatre,
teaching Theatre I, Theatre II, and Freshman Select. She has
worked as a theatre teacher and director for five years in Keller ISD and over 10 years in various summer theatre camp programs. For the past seven years, she has served as
Outreach/Camp Director at the Trinity Shakespeare Festival. She holds an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas and a BFA in Theatre from Texas Christian University. She still hasn't received her letter from Hogwarts but remains hopeful.
